PROVAC PLAST – VALVES TO SOLVE BIG MOULDING PROBLEMS
The ProVac® Plast – Vacuum Valve (patented) can be used to create vacuum in the mould cavities or just for venting them during the injection of plastic.
This innovative evacuation valve has been developed to completely eliminate all the adverse effects that can occcur during the classical injection moulding process.
The ProVac Plast - Valve avoids defects such as burns, flashing, incomplete parts, surface marks and stress cracking |

This picture shows burns due to air trapped in the mould cavity. |
This picture shows the moulded part without burns thanks to the ProVac-Plast-Valve.
In this case, the valve was mounted on the side opposite the injection point, completely eliminating these burns. The ProVac®- Plast-Valve is normally mounted outside the mould cavity, but can if required be placed inside it.

Benefits of using ProVac®-Plast-Valves:
- Better surface finish of moulded parts
- Complete filling of the mould even with wall thicknesses as low as 0.5 mm
- Higher injection speed
- Reduced cavity pressure
- Elimination of burns and flashings
- Elimination of air bubbles
- Better mechanical properties, e.g. 5 -10 % increase in tensile and bending strength

Types of ProVac®-Plast-Valves:
- ProVac Plast Vacuum – Valves for venting and for vacuum applications
ProVac® Plast-Valve can be mounted at the final filling point or directly in the problem area.
A mould flow analysis can be appropriate to determine the optimal valve position.
The valve closure is assured by the injection pressure through the plastic material.
Thanks to a special surface treatment the ProVac Valve needs no lubrication.
